On July 1, the much-anticipated 2026 ASEAN (Thailand) Exhibition of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Ventilation and Cold Chain Technology (abbreviated as RACC ASEAN 2026) grandly kicked off at IMPACT Exhibition Centre, Bangkok.

The exhibition is hosted by Nürnberg Fima (Hangzhou) Exhibition Co., Ltd., with strong support from NürnbergMesse Group Germany. Distinguished guests including Guo Yiqian, Managing Director of NürnbergMesse (Shanghai); Lü Mingle, Managing Director of Nürnberg Fima (Hangzhou); Chitakorn Khanoknaiyakarn, President-Elect of ASHRAE Thailand Chapter; Ukrit Angkunworanan, President of Thai Air Conditioning Traders Association (TATA); Mubesher Ahmad, Chairman of Pakistan HVACR Society; Mostofa Azad Chowdhury Babu, President of Bangladesh Cold Storage Association (BCSA); Praful Gadhia from Surat Chapter of Indian Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Association, as well as representatives of global HVACR manufacturers, engineering contractors, wholesalers, buyers, research institutions and industrial associations gathered in Bangkok to witness the grand opening ceremony.

With years of specializing in the refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air conditioning sector, the RACC exhibition series boasts mature and comprehensive full-industry-chain exhibition resources. The launch of this event in Thailand marks a crucial milestone in the brand’s overseas expansion across Southeast Asia. The show brings together more than one hundred well-known domestic and international brands including Italy’s DORIN, Thailand’s TAINO, Malaysia’s SUPERLON, India’s KOOL CARE CONTROLS, GREE, Jiuding Refrigeration, Byford, Xinlei, Dongyangguang and more. Exhibits cover the full industrial chain of air conditioning and ventilation, complete cold chain equipment, compressors, low-GWP eco-friendly refrigerants, and thermal management for data centers, showcasing cutting-edge innovative technologies such as photovoltaic zero-carbon air conditioners and high-efficiency temperature control systems.

The exhibition saw an overwhelming turnout on its opening day. Over 2,000 visitors from 29 countries and regions worldwide, including Thailand, India, China, Bangladesh, Malaysia, the Philippines, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Pakistan, Australia and the United States, flocked to the venue.

As of June 30, more than 1,000 professional visitors from over 40 countries and regions including Poland, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Qatar, Turkey, Italy, Russia, Vietnam, the United Kingdom, Canada, Mexico, Morocco, Brazil and Bahrain had completed pre-registration. It is estimated that the exhibition will attract more than 5,000 buyers in total. Notably, refrigeration associations from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and other countries have specially organized dedicated buying delegations to attend on-site negotiations. Delegation members consist of local distributors and engineering contractors with steady and targeted procurement demands, creating consistent bulk cooperation opportunities for all exhibitors.

All concurrent professional forums were fully booked. The exhibition featured a series of themed forums, gathering industrial experts from multiple national associations, university researchers and technical directors of leading enterprises. In-depth discussions revolved around core topics including optimized HVAC solutions for tropical climates, cold chain infrastructure development in Southeast Asia, data center cooling, low-GWP natural refrigerants, carbon-neutral refrigeration solutions and regional industrial market demands. The forums provide professional insights for enterprises expanding overseas and complying with local regulations, comprehensively driving the industry’s green and low-carbon transformation and upgrading.

He introduced that RACC has long focused on the HVACR industry with the core mission of supporting exhibitors and expanding their overseas sales channels. The industry is undergoing accelerated low-carbon and AI digital transformation, while the Southeast Asian market holds immense potential alongside stable China-Thailand trade relations and rising local demand for air conditioning and cold chain solutions. As RACC’s first overseas exhibition, this event caters to enterprises’ overseas expansion needs by aggregating full-industry-chain brands, coordinating buying delegations organized by multiple national associations and hosting professional technical forums. Chitakorn Khanoknaiyakarn, President-Elect of ASHRAE Thailand Chapter, shared insights based on Thailand’s local industrial landscape. He mentioned that ASEAN nations are continuously tightening low-carbon environmental regulations and raising industry energy efficiency standards, driving surging market demand for high-efficiency, low-GWP HVAC equipment. Committed to industry standard formulation and advanced technology research and development, ASHRAE will continue to build regular technical exchange channels via RACC ASEAN, promote the rollout of state-of-the-art refrigeration and temperature control solutions in Thailand, support local practitioners in technological upgrading, and jointly advance the green, energy-saving and standardized development of Southeast Asia’s HVAC industry.

Towards the end of the opening ceremony, GREE hosted two exclusive new product launch sessions. The CEO of GREE Thailand and the person in charge of the Middle East Region 1 from GREE Zhuhai Headquarters took the stage successively, launching multiple energy-saving refrigeration new products tailored to the tropical operating conditions of Southeast Asia. To conclude the event, NürnbergMesse and GREE formally signed the Cooperation Initiative on Jointly Promoting Green, Low-Carbon and Sustainable Development of Thailand’s HVAC & Refrigeration Industry, establishing a long-term in-depth strategic partnership. Both parties will coordinate follow-up efforts to jointly advance the green, low-carbon, sustainable and high-quality development of Thailand’s HVAC and refrigeration sector.
