On April 1st, Panasonic Group adjusted its organizational structure and officially established Panasonic HVAC&Cold Chain Co., Ltd. Hideyoshi Katayama has been appointed as the representative director, board member, and president of the company. This new company was formed through the integration and restructuring of the HVAC and Cold Chain Solutions divisions under Panasonic's Sustainable Development and Climate Technology Group.

The new company will be listed as one of the core business segments of the group, alongside Panasonic HVAC Cold Chain Systems Co., Ltd., Panasonic Environmental Systems Engineering Co., Ltd., and Husman Corporation in the United States. The business sector has a total of approximately 30000 global employees.


Panasonic HVAC&Cold Chain Co., Ltd. covers three major areas: air, water, and food. Its business scope includes household and commercial air conditioners, ventilation fans, air purifiers, carbon dioxide heat pump water heaters, air source water heat pumps, commercial display refrigerators, and commercial kitchen equipment.


According to the company profile, its comprehensive business covers water solution products such as household air conditioners, air products, carbon dioxide heat pump water heaters, as well as the research and development, production, sales, installation, and after-sales maintenance chain services of commercial equipment such as cooling and heating equipment, commercial air conditioners, and food system equipment. It is expected that the combined sales revenue of this sector will reach 1.3 trillion yen (approximately 8.7 billion US dollars) for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026.
