On December 12th, the “Potato Festival 2025” organized by the Bangladesh Cold Storage Association, was grandly held in Dhaka. It is reported that the "2025 Potato Festival" is Bangladesh's first international exhibition dedicated specifically to the potato industry. The event aims to showcase the latest technologies and innovations in potato production, preservation, processing, value addition, and export, with the goal of further promoting investment in Bangladesh's potato processing industry and cold chain infrastructure.

In recent years, as Bangladesh's urbanization and internationalization accelerate, market demand in the refrigeration and air conditioning sector—especially in cold chain logistics—has experienced explosive growth. However, due to incomplete industrial chain support, the country still heavily relies on imports for key components.

As Bangladesh's largest trading partner for 15 consecutive years, China has become the country's top import source. In particular, Bangladesh has a substantial demand for Chinese refrigeration products, including cold storage equipment and related accessories.

During the event, Mr. Mostofa, President of the Bangladesh Cold Storage Association, repeatedly spoke highly of the RACC China exhibition. He noted that RACC China provides significant convenience for Bangladeshi refrigeration enterprises to source refrigeration equipment in a one-stop manner. Not only does it help Bangladeshi buyers quickly match products and solutions that meet local needs, but it also injects strong momentum into the upgrading and development of Bangladesh's refrigeration industry.

At the RACC 2025 exhibition, Mr. Mostofa, President of the Bangladesh Cold Storage Association, personally led a large procurement delegation of approximately 20 members to the event. The delegation consisted of representatives from well-known local enterprises with strong capabilities and clear procurement needs. They not only purchased core products such as refrigeration units and cold chain equipment from Chinese companies on-site but also visited factories of leading refrigeration enterprises such as Boda Bingzhou and Qianjiang Refrigeration.

It is worth mentioning that the Bangladesh Cold Storage Association has explicitly stated that it will organize another large-scale procurement delegation to attend the RACC China exhibition in 2026. At the same time, the cooperation between the two sides will extend further into the ASEAN market—the Bangladesh procurement delegation will travel to Thailand to participate in the inaugural RACC ASEAN exhibition, strengthening cooperation and exchanges with more leading enterprises globally.
