In order to actively implement the spirit of the Notice of the State Council on Printing <Promoting Large-scale Equipment Renewal and Action Plans to Exchange Old Consumer Goods for New Ones>and Distributing (National Development and Reform Commission[2024] No. 7), (on the issuance of the Implementation Plan for Large-scale Equipment renewal in Key Energy Areas (National Development and Reform Commission and National Energy Administration [2024] No. 687) and the Notice of the People's Government of Zhejiang Province on Printing and Distributing  Measures to Promote Large-scale Equipment renewal and Consumer Goods Trade-in in Zhejiang Province. Zhejiang Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry Association organized a special small meeting on September 9 at the Xixi Campus of Zhejiang University.

The meeting was chaired by the secretary-general Xu Weimin, who extended a warm welcome to the manufacturer representatives specially invited to the meeting.

At the meeting, Yang Yi, executive vice president of the Zhejiang Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry Association, said that equipment renewal is a livelihood project for the government and the people, and an important way to achieve carbon reduction in industrial and civil buildings. Promoting large-scale equipment renewal and change the old consumer goods for new ones is a major deployment of the country to promote high-quality economic development across the country, an urgent need to develop new quality productivity, and a major opportunity to expand investment and promote consumption. Zhejiang is a national high-quality pilot demonstration zone with a relatively developed social economy. Equipment renewal can push it to the forefront of the country and be bright in future.

As a bridge between the government and major manufacturers, the Zhejiang Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Industry Association must take up the banner in this equipment renewal work, increase publicity for equipment renewal and raise awareness of it among people from all walks of life, coordinate the promotion of equipment renewal and energy conservation and carbon reduction, and accelerate the comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development.

Executive Vice President Yang Yi also pointed out that major companies producing refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment need to seize opportunities and actively produce more efficient, energy-saving and low-carbon products, and replace old durable consumer goods with new ones that have a large pulling effect and a long service life and have high purchase costs, so as to further stimulate potential consumption, ensure that the best benefits reach the operating entities directly, and bring preferential benefits to thousands of households. At the same time, major companies should provide follow-up after-sales guarantees to achieve a win-win situation for the government and enterprises.

Later, President Chen Guangming proposed to strengthen policy interpretation and put forward a set of simple, practical and easy-to-implement operation methods to urge more companies to enhance energy management awareness and seize new opportunities for equipment renewal and green and low-carbon transformation and upgrading.

During the discussion session, representatives of various manufacturers put forward suggestions and held heated discussions, and all proposed that equipment renewal and energy conservation and carbon reduction is not only related to the future economic development and energy conservation and consumption reduction of the country, but also affects the production and life of ordinary people. Representatives of many major manufacturers hope that relevant departments of the government can provide more support for equipment renewal. The association should work together with enterprises to carry out professional technical publicity and popular science publicity of "equipment renewal, energy conservation and carbon reduction" for the people. It can be implemented from the streets to strengthen the people and grassroots cadres' in-depth understanding of national policies, so as to truly implement the concept of equipment renewal and enhance the people's sense of gain, happiness and security.

During the meeting, all the representatives discussed the Exhibition Area of " the Technology and Products of Equipment Renewal, Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction" set up at the Hangzhou Grand Convention and Exhibition Center (New Hall) on October 23rd. They all expressed their determination to implement the national policy of equipment renewal, energy conservation and carbon reduction, actively give play to their own company's product advantages, exhibit their classic application cases and featured renewal products, etc., and increase the popularization and publicity of equipment renewal through various communication channels, such as media and the Internet, so as to promote better and faster development of equipment updates. The meeting then came to a successfully end.

On October 23rd, on the the Academic Annual Meeting of Zhejiang Association of Refrigeration with the theme of "Equipment Renewal, Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction" at the Hangzhou Grand Convention and Exhibition Center (New Hall) which will be jointly hosted by Zhejiang Association of Refrigeration and Zhejiang Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry Association and co-organized by Hangzhou Fima Expo Co., Ltd., will launch the activity of "Collection and Exhibition of the Technologies and Products of Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction". A special Exhibition Area of " the Technology and Products of Equipment Renewal, Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction" will be set up at the "the 4th China International Air-conditioning, Heating, Ventilation, Refrigeration and Cold Chain Expo (RACC2024)" to be held at the same time with the meeting, and corresponding standards will be published to enable consumers to have a clearer understanding of the benefits that "equipment renewal" brings to their lives.

The China International Air Conditioning, Heating, Ventilation, Refrigeration and Cold Chain Expo has been held for three consecutive sessions, attracting extensive participation from many practitioners at home and abroad. It is an international HVAC and Refrigeration professional exhibition that is worth looking forward to and should not be missed. The summit forum during the meeting will be larger in scale, with a wider global publicity scope, greater strength, and stronger internationality. It is believed that it will bring new thinking, new channels and new business opportunities to more upstream and downstream industry chain companies.
